Troubleshooting: Common AI Verify Errors
Resolving common issues encountered when using the AI Verify (Factcheck) tool on complex documents.
Identifying the Issue
AI Verify is incredibly accurate because it relies strictly on verifiable data. However, occasionally, it will return an "Unverified" or "False" outcome that may confuse users.
Issue 1: "Data Not Found" Errors
Symptoms: Winus is unable to corroborate a specific numerical claim in your uploaded file with its internal market data.
Quick Fixes:
- Check the Entity Status: Is the company unlisted or a very recent pre-revenue startup? While Winus covers 350M+ entities, hyper-niche private company financials may lack public verifiable records.
- Clarify Timeframes: Ensure the text explicitly mentions the date. "Revenue was up $2M" is unverified without knowing the quarter.
- Currency Conversion Defaults: If your document lists figures in EUR, but the primary exchange reporting is in USD, ensure your text specifies the currency used to prevent mismatch flags.
Issue 2: Incorrect "False" Flags on Niche Alternatives
Symptoms: A specific claim regarding alternative data (like ESG metrics) is marked false.
Why This Happens: Different regulatory bodies report Alternative/ESG data differently. Winus flags data as "False" if your uploaded document's claim conflicts with the most authoritative, primary source data Winus holds in its Global Enterprise Library.
Quick Fixes:
- Click on the "False" checkpoint generated by Winus.
- Review the Supporting Data section. Winus will show you the exact source it used to reach its conclusion.
- Compare the Winus source against the source cited in your document. You may need to manually vet the discrepancy or utilize Deep Research to write a report synthesizing why the two data streams conflict.
